The survey helps us understand how employees are feeling mentally and emotionally at work. It also helps us find ways to improve workplace well-being and spark public conversations about mental health.
This survey is a joint effort between The Live Love Laugh Foundation (TLLLF) and the McKinsey Health Institute (MHI), supported by McKinsey & Company worldwide.
No, participating in the survey is completely free.
We collect general details about your organization and anonymous responses from employees, including some demographic information.
The aggregated data of all companies participating in the survey will help us analyze mental health trends at work, create helpful research, and support long-term efforts to improve employee well-being.
No, all responses are anonymous, no personal identifiable data is recorded. There is no visual of individual data, only aggregated data will be visible. No one will be able to tell who said what.
While it is voluntary for employees to take the survey, it would be ideal for all or most employees to take the survey in order to gain a good representative data of the entire organisation. Employees can choose the ‘Prefer not to answer’ response for any of the questions that they are not comfortable answering.
MHI keeps all data secure and confidential, following strict privacy and security standards. The data is encrypted and hence not stored in individualised format. You would be signing a data privacy agreement with MHI.

No, the survey has already been shortened and each question plays an important role. Removing questions could reduce the accuracy and usefulness of the results.
When employees submit the survey, their responses are stored anonymously and processed securely. No one, including MHI, can trace answers back to individuals.
No. Only summarized results are shared, and only for groups with 30 or more responses. This protects individual privacy and prevents re-identification.
TLLLF is a non profit organization and does not directly appoint or share any therapists with companies.
